My name is Lisa and I'm from Australia. I love singing and usually busk on the Melbourne streets with my cousin Maddie who plays guitar. Unfortunately its difficult to do the same in Paris-Especially when you don't play any instruments and don't have any exceptional talent in singing (just do it cos its fun and love music). Was wondering if there were any musical people out there I can come hang with- maybe just to sing songs with or play the triangle/tambourine/chicken shakers for your band. A Canadian band will be in Paris in January. We are currently in the studio preparing to release our first album, and will be performing some shows in Paris. We are looking for musicians who would be interested in sharing in a great few nights with some Canadian players. We are completely self funded and don't have money to pay. I am selling my work desk made specifically for music production. It is in good solid shape. I has some scrapes and little stains but nothing out of the normal for a used piece of furniture.

I has built in rack space mounts (2 sets of 4 rack spaces, with screws) risers for monitors, lots of desk space (enough for a 61 key midi controller and comuter keyboars). it is on wheels and rolls quite nicely.

I left the 17 inch moniter on top to give you a scaled size reference.

It is located in the 11th.

Hi

Let's gather, shall we? I play a few of the obvious and less obvious instruments, and do some gigging here and there, but I'm really just interested in that sort of Sunday afternoon/evening (though it could be any time) sensibility that you can find in the worlds of bluegrass and old time and gospel and blues and folk and such. My own tastes are more eclectic than those but I'm mostly interested in playing as adequately as whoever else is in the room. Not impressing each other as much as enjoying one another.

What do you play or sing? What kind of stuff do you like to do? Can you show it to others quickly and simply without any stress or tripping?

1) Burlecue - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
This is a rare song by New Orleans Jazz Trumpeter, Wingy Manone. It's a great tune that has a wonderful bounce feel to it. Great chart to showcase your horn players. Wonderful for dancing!

2) Moonglow - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
You might have heard of, or played Moonglow before, but not like this! This version is similar to one that New Orleans great Dave Bartholomew recorded in the 1950's. It has a 12/8 triplet type feel to It. Great Tenor saxophone feature.

3) Black and Tan Fantasy- Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
A great jazz song from the Cotton Club era from the Duke Ellington songbook. This version is taken directly from the Ellington version from 1929.
Hot Jazz at it's finest. A wonderful chart to let your horn players shine!

4) Easy Rockin' - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
This is a very rare and obscure song written by New Orleans Saxophone Legend Sam Butera (Louis Prima). Great honkin' sax song with a bit of a bounce. Saxophone feature but also leaves room for others to shine.

5) Egyptian Fantasy - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
This is a song written by Clarinet / Soprano Sax Jazz great Sidney Bechet. It's a Clarinet feature that is played with a Tango feel. This song has a mysterious feel and very cool vibe. A great number for Tango dancing or perhaps a Belly Dancing act.

6) Deacon's Hop - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone and a master rhythm chart for Piano, Guitar, Bass
This is a real bring down the house kind of tune that features your tenor saxophone player. Written and recorded by saxophone great "Big" Jay McNelly in the 1950's, this arrangement has a Count Basie "Flying Home" feel to it. A little jump blues...a little jazz...a little rhythm and blues and a whole lot of honkin' saxophone. On this arrangement the saxophone solo is written out note for note. Also please note that the Tenor Saxophone and Alto Saxophone parts were done in Finale, the other parts were done the old school way, by hand.

7) Do You Care - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
This song from the 1940's was recorded by such artists as Bing Crosby and Glenn Miller among others. But this version and arrangement is from a 1950's Sam Butera album titled "Hot New Orleans Night". A real pretty song with a great melody. If you ever get a request to play something pretty, this would be the song. A great song for a fan dancer.

8) One Monkey Don't Stop No Show - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass
This arrangement is taken from the 1950's version by R&B/Jump Blues chanteuses Big Maybelle. A great song that features Vocals, as well as Guitar and Sax. Also includes lyric sheet.

9) Blue Prelude - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Guitar, Bass
A Jazz Striptease classic! A great ensemble song that really feature your horn players. Very cool guitar licks in this one. No written piano part, but piano or keyboard player can easily read the guitar part.

10) Tombstone Blues - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
Besides the original version recorded in the 1950's by Ernie Freeman and this version, I know of no other version. This is a Killer song with a real cool laid back groove. Great muted Trumpet part and a very sexy saxophone part. Again this is a great song for any dance number. In 1997, Dita Von Teese used a remixed version of this arrangement for her M.A.C. Lipteese campaign.

11) The Mooch - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
A Jazz Classic! This Duke Ellington song is taken directly from the 1940's arrangement by Sidney Bechet. A wonderful horn feature! Drums should be played with mallets to give a jungle effect. This slow, sexy number brings the house down every time.

12) Stormy Weather - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Bass, Guitar.
This is another one you might have heard or played before, but not like this! This arrangement is similar to one that New Orleans Trumpet great Dave Bartholomew recorded in the 1950's.
A very cool, sexy number!

13) Last Call - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone 1, Tenor Saxophone 2, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
Written by Saxophone great Plas Johnson, this arrangement is exactly like the version Plas recorded in the 1950's. A great blues song that not only features the Tenor Saxophone, but also leaves room for others to stretch out. A very sexy song!

14) Mood Indigo - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
A Duke Ellington Classic! This arrangement is taken from the 1940's Sidney Bechet version. A beautiful song that leaves plenty of room for improvisation. Slow and sexy!

15) The Oyster Girl - Trumpet, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Guitar, Bass.
A 1950's Bourbon Street Classic! Recorded for the first time by me, Ronnie Magri! Uncovered after 50 years and given to me personally by the original "Oyster Girl" Kitty West. For anybody even thinking about doing an Oyster Girl act, this is a must have. This is an original song written especially for Kitty West and her Oyster Girl act.

I�ll adapt to your interests, assess your level and guide in development of your physical control (technique) and understanding of various styles (Blues, Rock, Country, Jazz, etc.) Everything will be based on the style you're interested in, and emphasize using your ear and advancing the understanding of how and why it all fits together...not just repeating the same old exercises of reading or drilling in finger positions and riffs. I'll give you easy to follow diagrams and write transcriptions for you in tablature (tabs) or standard notation when you need them.

I'm a professional guitarist, bass player, and Music Director (i.e. programming, transcribing, arranging, copying, conducting) experienced in studio recording and live performance in a wide range of styles (rock, pop, blues, country, jazz) in nightclubs, festivals, arenas, receptions, restaurants, hotels, U.S. State Department functions, etc. in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America

I�ve been teaching guitar and music theory since 1994 (more than 4000 hours of experience). Students have ranged from 7 to 60 years old, and from beginners to working professionals. Lessons are structured according to your interests and needs and can include learning songs and styles, understanding and creating chord progressions (good for songwriters), ear training and learning to copy music from recordings, improvising Blues, Rock , Jazz, & Country solos, strumming and rhythms, major and minor scales and modes and how to use them, deriving chords from scales, beginning through advanced "physical" techniques for left & right hands, chord melody style, combining chords with walking bass, composing, arranging, copying (notating) and more!

Toujours en quête d'évolution, difficile de reconnaître BIRDY MC celui qui à la fin des années 90, tenait le rôle de combattant suprême des BABYLON FIGHTERS aux côtés des BERUS, de la MANO NEGRA, des FISHBONE, de URBAN DANCE SQUAD et d'autres encore ...

BABYLON FIGHTERS, groupe de DUB trash né de l'alternatif, est décédé après l'explosif "Shut up, don't shut down" (1991 - BMG).

Cinq ans après Birdy M.C. revient avec un son toujours en pointe, entre une ambiance sixties et rythmes ragga jungles. Il enregistre en 1995 "Boost Lady" (SAHMAN / POLYGRAM) produit à Londres par Dave Clayton (Bomb the bass). On retrouve 2 remix transe jungle techno sur la version ragga "Donne le Beat". La voix de Fish (guitariste de Mad Professor) donne une autre dimension au single.

DBC a pour origine la rencontre entre le raggamuffin M.C Birdy, D.J Josh et des V-jays.

Le temps n’a aucune emprise sur Birdy MC, il nous revient toujours aussi performant, inventif et pointu avec sa nouvelle formation D.B.C. Une suite logique. La rencontre avec D.J Josh un bad boy anglais qui a aussi fait de la railroad fait tilt. Le duo se forme et s’enferme dans son studio pour travailler sur le concept de Dread Blood Clash

DBC, c'est d'abord un son imparable, un son compact et massif, mixant le breakbeat, le drum and bass, le reggae et la techno, sans oublier la fameuse voix stylée et coloriée de Birdy MC et ses percussions.

MOSES P, très fameux DJ de la scène alternative Dance Floor Sound System rejoint le groupe sur scène.
