Anyone interested in biking around Paris on the Boulevard des Marecheaux which encircle the city inside the Peripherique?

Did it in 2h20' a few years ago and would like to try to do it under 2hrs just for the fun of accomplishing a "Tour de Paris" under 2hrs! It's about 40km, about 24 miles.

For the quickest time, early Sunday morning would be best as there is least traffic. This is not a leisurely stroll which I am proposing but basically a fast paced ride.

Ride would start and end Porte d'Italie, and proceed counterclockwise.

I am not a racer, and I intend to use a Brompton folding bike, same as the last time.

I am in Paris until the end of December, and would like to meet people to improve my French (lower intermediate) while taking advantage of the culinary scene. My English may be of the American variety, but it is still precise. If you are interested in slang, I'm fairly proficient in that realm as well. As for me, I just need to practice talking and understanding, so patience, a native Parisian accent and a broad spectrum of interests would be most helpful.

I am intensely interested in food, particularly French food, and am keen to experience as many good restaurants as possible before leaving. If I could join these two endeavors together, perhaps I will associate speaking French with such delicious rewards that the Pavlovian result will be that I actually learn to enjoy it. i'm new in paris and would love to find that good (good for me) yoga school, classic styles, hatha, asanas, some pranayama and some meditation; not into kundalini, tantra yoga, nor dynamic yoga nor anything that our beautiful western thinking/acting style has made out of it..

would love to meet a good practictioner, genuine, patient, someone who would motivate me to pick up my practice again, to build the discipline for it at home; i'd gladly be cooking in exchange - indian food, nice salads, fruit dinks. easier to do it for two, alone i tend to eat pasta drink coffee and (!) smoke instead of breath...

sharing travel stories from India next to all this would be the cherry on top of the (ayurvedic) cake !

I've always wanted to go to Africa, and I've never had the chance. I'm a filmmaker and would be making a documentary on the trip. Would like to travel with someone who can protect me, as I'm a 23 year old woman and my self-defense is very limited. However, I am very athletic, a lot of fun, and easy to be with. I'm leaving August 15th and plan to travel to as many countries as possible, regardless of whether or not they have large animals to gawk at.
